AKMU published the video for ‘소문의 낙원 (Paradise of Rumors)’ on 3 April 2026, on the channel carrying the duo’s own name. AKMU is Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Suhyun, a brother and sister who have been releasing music together for more than a decade.

The years in Mongolia

Before either of them was a professional musician, the siblings lived in Mongolia, where their parents were posted for work. They were homeschooled there for several years and spent much of their childhood outside Korea — the exact stretch when most future Korean artists are entering an agency’s trainee system. Chanhyuk wrote songs during that period, with little access to what Korean radio was playing. The pair came back to Korea as teenagers and auditioned. That inversion of the usual order matters: they arrived with material already written, rather than material assigned to them.

The Korean title 소문의 낙원 is given the official English rendering “Paradise of Rumors” in the video title itself.
