Davichi released “타임캡슐” (Time Capsule) on 16 October 2025, with the music video posted to the duo’s own YouTube channel. The song is written and composed by 초록병본부, credited under that single name for both music and lyrics.

The duo that outlasted its label

Davichi — Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung — debuted in 2008 and have now worked together for well over fifteen years, which is unusual in an industry where most groups dissolve near the seven-year mark when their first contracts expire. What makes them rarer still is that they have changed agencies more than once and kept the name and the pairing intact each time. In Korean pop, a group’s name is normally company property, so a duo carrying theirs across corporate moves reflects deliberate negotiation rather than luck. Their catalogue leans heavily on ballads and drama soundtracks, a lane that ages differently from idol pop.

About this release

“타임캡슐” arrives as a single, distributed through the channel operated in Davichi’s own name rather than a large label’s account. Both words and music come from 초록병본부. The official description opens with two lines of the lyric before withholding the rest, and tags the release simply with the duo’s name and the title in Korean and English.
