This video went up on the SMTOWN channel in September 2025, alongside TASTE, the first album released under HAECHAN’s own name. He has worked as a professional performer since 2016, but until now always inside a group.

The unit that was meant to graduate its members

HAECHAN debuted in 2016 as part of NCT, an SM Entertainment project built out of separate units rather than one fixed line-up. One of those units, NCT DREAM, launched with a rule unusual in Korean pop: it was a teenage group, and members were expected to leave once they reached adulthood, with younger trainees rotating in behind them. Mark departed at the end of 2018 under that system. In 2020 SM abandoned the idea and settled DREAM as a permanent seven, Mark included. HAECHAN has been in the unit since the beginning, and holds a place in NCT 127 as well.

About this release

TASTE is credited as HAECHAN’s first album, and this video was published on 8 September 2025 through SMTOWN, the channel SM Entertainment uses for its entire roster. The official description opens the tracklist with “Camera Lights” and names no featured artist. No producer or writing credits were included with the upload.
