The speaking cast and the singing cast are different people

In animated musicals the actor who voices a character is often not the one who sings for her, and this film keeps that split. The cast listed in the description — Arden Cho, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo — handles dialogue, while HUNTR/X’s vocals come from a separate trio: EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI. EJAE is the interesting case. She spent years in Seoul as a songwriter and demo vocalist, the person who records a guide version of a track so an agency can decide whether to buy it — work that almost never carries a public credit.
