From the EP F2026. Zior Park is one of the few Korean artists whose music videos matter to him as much as the songs — he directs them, and he says openly that film is where he is heading.

Who Zior Park is

Born Park Ji-won in 1994, he works under Beautiful Noise, an independent label founded in 2018 by the rapper Mommy Son and known for signing artists no major would have known what to do with. His music sits somewhere between alternative rock, hip-hop and cabaret — comparisons to Tim Burton and Willy Wonka follow him around, and they are not unfair. His breakout, “Christian,” was a satirical alt-rock track about living contradictorily; it climbed slowly for a month after release and eventually reached number seven on the national digital chart, with no agency machinery pushing it.

“Dead Channel” was published on 26 August 2026 on the artist’s own channel and runs 3 minutes 02. The credits are unusually complete for a Korean release — composers, backing vocals, individual instrumentalists, the full camera and lighting crew, colourist, mixing engineer. Reading them is the fastest way to see that this is a small team working like a film unit rather than a label rollout.

Watching from outside Korea

If your picture of Korean music is agencies and choreography, this is the other country entirely: independent labels, artists writing and directing their own work, and songs that chart because people kept playing them rather than because a campaign said so.
