소년만화 is the Korean name for a comics genre

소년 means boy or youth; 만화 means comics. The two characters behind 만화 are the same pair the Japanese read as manga, and 소년만화 is the ordinary Korean label for the shōnen category — serialised comics aimed at teenage readers, with training, defeat and a rematch as the recurring furniture. Korean readers met most of it in translation, borrowed by the hour from the 만화방 rental shops that once sat on every other block. Naming a track after a genre rather than a mood is a compact move: the reference does the framing before anything is heard.
