A choreography interpreter sits in the credits

Among the staff listed for this video is a “choreography interpreter” working alongside the choreography director. &TEAM are based in Japan and most of their members are Japanese, while K-pop production crews work in Korean, so dance instruction has to cross a language line in real time — counts, corrections, the small verbal shorthand a choreographer uses on set. Hiring someone purely for that job is a quiet marker of how the Korean system operates abroad: the method is exported intact, and a specialist is paid to carry it across. The credits also list eight ballerinas, cast in Japan.
