잘파 joins Generation Z to the one after it

Korean releases are normally tagged with a genre, and A2O Entertainment has supplied one of its own making. 잘파, romanised Zalpha, is a Korean portmanteau that fuses the Z of Generation Z with Alpha, the cohort that follows it, born from roughly the mid-2010s onward. Korean newspapers and marketing departments took up 잘파세대 as shorthand for consumers who have never known a phone that was not a smartphone. Attached to a debut, the term is a positioning claim rather than a musical one: it states who the group is aimed at, not what the song does.
