Busan coast planning: Haeundae, Cheongsapo and Songjeong

Choose your anchor stop

Haeundae Beach suits a plan centered on the beach and surrounding urban area. Songjeong offers a different beach setting with Jukdo Park nearby. Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory provides a coastal viewing point. These are distinct stops; saving them in one list does not mean every connection is a short walk.

A flexible planning sequence

Pick your starting beach first, then decide whether the observatory is worth an additional stop. This is a planning suggestion, not a timed or accessibility-verified itinerary: distances, transfers and the pace of your group still need room in the plan.

Allow for the observatory schedule

The Korea Tourism Organization listing records seasonal hours for Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory and lists admission as free: December–February 09:00–20:00, March–May and September–November 09:00–21:00, and June–August 09:00–22:00. Treat these as the published schedule, with access still subject to temporary restrictions. Keep a nearby beach walk as an alternative, especially when the observatory is the main reason for the trip, and follow any closure signs on arrival.

Do not confuse beach access with swimming access

An accessible beachfront does not establish permission to swim, lifeguard availability or the operating dates of paid activities. Confirm the activity you intend to do. If adding Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, treat it as a separate destination with its own closing time rather than an automatic final stop.

Save the Korean names

Haeundae Beach: 해운대해수욕장. Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory: 청사포 다릿돌전망대. Songjeong Beach: 송정해수욕장. Keep the Busan district and street address in your map notes to avoid similarly named destinations elsewhere in Korea.
