Match the exact stations, operator, date and train before paying. Keep the ticket itself and check how changes or cancellations work for the channel you used.
Choose stations that fit both ends
A city can have more than one useful station. Compare the journey from your accommodation to the departure station and from the arrival station to your destination. A faster train can still produce a longer overall trip if either station is far from your actual starting point.
Read the ticket details before payment
Check the local date, departure time, train number, passenger count and seat type. Make sure you are looking at the desired direction. Save the issued ticket and the instructions for retrieving it, rather than relying only on a payment notification.
Do not confuse a pass with a seat
KORAIL's international site provides reservations and pass information. Its pass does not cover SRT, metropolitan subway services or every tourist train. Read current coverage and reservation instructions for the product you choose; possession of a pass alone should not be treated as confirmation of a particular seat.
Plan the arrival and return together
If making a day trip, identify the return options before committing to the outbound ticket. Leave a margin between the last activity and the station. For a change, use the rules of your ticket seller and check whether a replacement ticket is actually confirmed.
