Yuqi released ‘M.O.’ on 16 September 2025 through the i-dle channel, which is where the group and its members post their work. She is credited as a co-writer and co-composer alongside Siixk Jun, Charlotte Wilson and Taneisha Jackson.

A group that renamed itself mid-career

The channel here is called i-dle, but for most of the group’s life it was (G)I-DLE — parenthesis and all. In 2025 the members dropped the bracketed prefix and became simply i-dle. Renaming an established act is rare in Korean pop, because the name is the searchable asset: streaming catalogues, chart records, fan community tags and years of video titles are all filed under the old spelling. Agencies usually accept the confusion only when a group renegotiates its contract or wants a clean line between career phases. Older uploads on this same channel still carry the previous name.

About this release

‘M.O.’ is a solo track from Yuqi, released under CUBE Entertainment. The official description tags it with “Motivation” and lists the writing credits: composition by Yuqi, Siixk Jun, Charlotte Wilson and Taneisha Jackson, with lyrics by Yuqi, Taneisha Jackson and Charlotte Wilson. No featured artist is credited. The description carries hashtags for both the group and the solo name.

Watching from outside Korea

The names (G)I-DLE and i-dle refer to different naming periods of the same group. Yuqi is Chinese and also has solo work; watch this release on the page and explore more group and solo coverage on OSEYO KOREA.
