Mighty Mouth, the hip-hop duo who debuted in 2007, have a new single called SOJU BOMB (소주밤). Gyeongree and G.C Hammer are credited as featured artists on the track.

폭탄주, the drink the title is named after

A “soju bomb” is a real fixture of Korean drinking culture: a shot glass of soju dropped into a larger glass of beer. The general term is 폭탄주, literally “bomb alcohol”, and the soju-and-beer version has its own contraction, 소맥, built from 소주 and 맥주. It turns up most often at 회식, the after-work company dinner. The Korean title plays on this — 밤 is the ordinary word for night, and it is also how the English word “bomb” is written in hangul, so the title reads two ways at once.
