Cheongpung Land (청풍랜드)
Chungcheongbukdo San 26, Gyo-ri, Cheongpung-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Cheongpung Land est un parc de loisir créé en 2002 près du lac de Cheongpunghoban (lac de Chungjuho à Cheongpung-myeon, Jecheon-si dans la province du Chungcheongbuk-do. Le parc accueille trois attractions pleines de sentations fortes : une tour de saut à l’élastique haute de 62 mètres, le tout premier siège éjectable de Corée et « Big Swing », une expérience à gravité nulle. On peut également y admirer des geysers d’eau jaillissant à 162 mètres dans l’air, ainsi qu’une vue panoramique sur le paysage environnant. Le parc est l’une des plus grandes attractions touristiques de la région, et se trouve non loin d’autres destinations populaires, comme le site de tournage du drama historique de KBS « Daejo Wangeon », le mont Geumsusan et le parc national de la montagne Woraksan.

Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex (청풍문화재단지)
Chungcheongbukdo 2048, Cheongpungho-ro, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex in Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do contains a variety of cultural heritages and artifacts that were collected from the region before it was flooded in 1985 during the construction of Chungju Dam. Here, visitors can see Hanbyeongnu Pavilion (Treasure), Stone Standing Buddha (Treasure), Paryeongnu Pavilion, Geumnamnu Pavilion, Geumbyeongheon Hall, Eungcheonggak Pavilion and the Cheongpunghyanggyo Local Confucian School as well as nearly 2,000 household artifacts. It has become an outdoor museum of the glorious culture of the upper reaches of the Namhangang River.

Cheongpung Cable Car (청풍호반케이블카)
Chungcheongbukdo 166 Munhwajae-gil, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Cheongpung Cable Car takes passengers back and forth between Multae-ri in Cheongpung-myeon and Bibongsan Mountain along a 2.3-kilometer ropeway. There are a total of 43 cabins that accommodate up to 10 passengers per car, with ten cabins featuring transparent flooring to offer a thrilling bird's-eye-view of Cheongpung-myeon. The cable car can reach a maximum speed of 5 meters per second and takes around 10 minutes from the departure point to Bibongsan Mountain peak. Bibongsan Mountain sits at the center of Cheongpungho Lake and has an elevation of 531 meters. The sight from top offers a feeling as if one is looking down at an archipelago. The cable car allows children and the elderly to enjoy the sight without the hassle of hiking up to the summit.

Cheongnyongsa Temple Site (청룡사지)
Chungcheongbukdo 147, Cheongnyongsaji-gil, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do In the late Goryeo era, King Taejo ordered to build a large temple at the foot of Cheonggyesan Mountain for Preceptor Bogak to retire to hermitage. Now, the temple site has become a ruin, with only the Stupa of State Preceptor Bogak, called Jeonghyewonyung, lion stone lantern, and stele for Jeonghyewonyung at the site. Cheongnyongsa Temple, recently built, is also situated in the vicinity of the area along with other Buddhist cultural assets.

Cheongnamdae Presidential Villa (청남대)
Chungcheongbukdo 646, Cheongnamdae-gil, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Cheongnamdae, which means "Cheong Wa Dae in a warm southern land," was once a private villa used by former presidents of Korea. Cheongnamdae became open to the public on April 18, 2003. It is located near Daecheong Dam in Cheongwon-gu, Chungcheongbuk-do and was built in 1983. The total area spans 1,825,000m² and consists of a main building, golf range, heliport, and fishing area. The natural environment surrounding the area has been well preserved, serving as a home to wildlife, including over 143 species of wild flowers and 124 species of trees as well as several endangered species.

Cheongjuhyanggyo Confucian School (청주향교)
Chungcheongbukdo 81, Daeseong-ro 122beon-gil, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Hyanggyo is a national educational institution from the Joseon dynasty that housed the tablets of esteemed Confucian scholars and held rituals in their honor. It consists of six hanok buildings, including the Daeseongjeon Hall, a space for rituals, and Myeongnyundang Hall, the space for education. Today, various Confucian cultural experience programs, such as Confucian student experiences, tea ceremonies, and calligraphy classes, are offered. They also provide accommodations for guests wishing to experience a "Hyanggyo Stay."

Cheongju Zoo (청주동물원)

Cheongju Yonghwasa Temple (용화사(청주))
Chungcheongbukdo 565 Musimseo-ro, Seowon-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do This temple was founded in 1902. Yonghwasa Temple can be found about 2 kilometers down the small road from a National Road connecting Judeok-eup, Cheongju, with Eumseong. Unlike other Buddhist temples, which tend to be located in secluded places, Yonghwasa Temple is easily reachable from the city, attracting many visitors. Set against a backdrop of green lawns and forests, the temple's stupas, stelae, three-story stone pagodas, and guardian trees bring Buddhist culture to life. A Goryeo-era Standing Stone Buddha, a cultural heritage, can be found in the complex. Its elegant and full body, round face, and delicate expression of folds in the Buddha’s clothing all showcase the unique qualities of Goryeo-era Buddhist sculptures. The Buddha holds a medicine bowl in the left hand, which heals all diseases and eliminates all distractions in pursuit of truth.

Cheongju Sangdangsanseong Fortress (청주 상당산성)
Chungcheongbukdo 70 Seongnae-ro, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Sangdangsanseong Fortress in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do is a fortress built along the natural slopes close to downtown Cheongju. It was comprehensively improved in 1596 (29th year of King Seonjo’s reign) during Imjinwaeran (Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592) and later remodeled into a stone fortress during the 42nd year of King Sukjong’s reign. This 4.2km-long, 3-4m-tall fortress was built with stones of various sizes, earth and sand. The fortress has three gates, located in the east, west and south respectively. The three gates remain almost intact, and all still have their gate towers. The front gate in the south, named ‘Gongnammun Gate,’ is crescent-shaped while the East and West gates are square. The East and West Command Posts also stand within the confines of the fortress itself. This fortress was designated as Historic Site No. 212 in 1970. Additionally, visitors can sample Jujube Wine (Korean traditional wine) as well as a variety of local cuisine.

Cheongju Jungang Park (청주 중앙공원)
Chungcheongbukdo 33, Sangdang-ro 55beon-gil, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Located at the heart of Cheongju city center, Jungang Park is a relaxing space full of cultural heritage and things to do. Its most famous feature is the massive ginkgo tree that has stood here for nearly a thousand years. Ginkgo trees are famously long-lived, so this 30-meter high tree with an 8-meter circumference is majestic and welcoming at once. Its nickname, Apgaksu, is said to originate from its leaves resembling a duck foot. Mangseollu Pavilion, a nugak (a building built to have a view of the surrounding areas without any doors or walls) built during the Goryeo period, is the oldest wooden structure in Cheongju. Another cultural site is the Byeongma Jeoldosa Yeongmun Gate, a door that served as the entrance to the office of Byeongma Jeoldosa. Byeongma Jeoldosa was a Joseon-period position tasked with quelling rebellions. The park also hosts musical concerts and presentations.

Cheondongdonggul Cave (단양 천동동굴)
Chungcheongbukdo Cheondong 2-gil, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Situated on the outskirts of a mountain behind Cheondong-ri in Danyang, Cheondongdonggul Cave is a limestone cave of 470 meters in length. Created 450 million years ago, the cave is known to have beautiful limestone rocks often called “flower trays.” The cave is decorated with a breathtaking array of stalactites, stalagmites, columns and soda straws as if they were part of a lush forest. Abundant animal deposits render the cave a huge specimen gallery. Although it is a relatively small, separate cave, Cheondongdonggul boasts plethora of splendid natural features. Along with Gosu Cave (designated as Natural Monument No. 256) in Gosu-ri, Danyang, Cheondongdonggul Cave is considered one of the most beautiful limestone caves in Korea.

Breeding Ground of Grey Herons (진천 노원리 왜가리 번식지)
Chungcheongbukdo 113-12, Nonsil-gil, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do The Breeding Ground of Grey Herons is located behind the Nogok Village in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. The migratory birds nestled on the 1,000-year-old ginkgo tree. However, as the tree started to decay due to bird droppings over time, resulting in the loss of the birds' main nest. Subsequently, the birds started to settle in the surrounding bushes and forests. In order to preserve the habitat and encourage gray heron breeding, the area was designated as a Natural Monument.

Boeun White Dandelion Eco-Village (보은 하얀민들레한옥마을)
Chungcheongbukdo 111-2 Busu-gil, Hoein-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Boeun White Dandelion Eco-Village is located in Boeun-gun. The hanok building comprises two floors. The upper part of the hanok is used for accommodation and dining, while the lower part of the building serves as both a gallery and lodging. In addition to accommodation, visitors can enjoy various hands-on experience programs, including embroidery, natural dyeing, printmaking, puffed grain making, and a Joseon-era lifestyle experience. It has recently gained popularity after being featured in a variety show with K-pop idols.

Chungcheongbukdo 405, Beopjusa-ro, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Built in 553 during the 14th year of Silla King Jinheung's reign, Beopjusa Temple is located on Songnisan Mountain. However, many of the original buildings were destroyed during the Imjin War (1592-1598), with the current structures having been rebuilt in 1624. The temple features many beautiful and important Buddhist relics and artworks, centered around the main hall, Daeungbojeon Hall.
