Nanji Hangang Park (난지한강공원)

Seoul 162 Hangangnanji-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul Nanji Hangang Park, situated north of the Hangang River near World Cup Park, provides a riverside space for leisure and recreation. The park offers Campgrounds, Water Leisure Sports Facilities, Bike Lane, Waterside Plaza, Mirror Fountain, Riverside Pool, a convenience store, and an information center. The Mirror Fountain emits a rainbow-like light with each water spray. The campgrounds are popular for their proximity to the city and affordable fees. Visitors can enjoy activities such as motorboating, water skiing, and wakeboarding on the Hangang River.

Namsangol Hanok Village (남산골한옥마을)

Seoul 28 Toegye-ro 34-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul Namsangol Hanok Village opened in 1998 on the northern side of Namsan Mountain in the center of the capital. This village has five restored hanok (traditional Korean house) premises, a pavilion, a traditional garden, a performance art stage, and a time capsule plaza, making it a perfect spot for locals and tourists to take a leisure walk. Upon entering from the front gate, visitors will get a taste of Korea's traditional life while escaping from bustling city life. The traditional garden with its pavilion and old houses creates a peaceful ambiance before the forested Namsan Mountain. A time capsule commemorating Seoul’s 600th anniversary was buried in 1994 at the highest point of the village and is scheduled to be reopened 400 years later in 2394. The five hanok premises at Namsangol Hanok Village once belonged to aristocrats and government officials of the Joseon dynasty. Each house was originally located in a different neighborhood, but they were all moved to this area and restored to their original form. The houses were rebuilt using their original materials, except for one house, where the materials were too old and deteriorated to be reused. The premises were carefully restored and replicated according to their original form to depict the owners’ social class and personality. These buildings are now used as an exhibit to portray the living environment during the Joseon dynasty and as a venue for educational and cultural programs for children and tourists.Some of the unique programs and activities to participate in include wearing hanbok, folding hanji (traditional Korean paper), writing in Korean, traditional tea ceremony, traditional etiquette school, and herbal medicine experience. There are also taekwondo demonstrations and other various performances held around the village. Visitors can also try traditional games such as yunnori (traditional board game), or understand more about the area through a guided tour.

Namsan Seoul Tower Hanbok Culture Experience Center (남산서울타워 …

Seoul 105, Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul Namsan Seoul Tower Hanbok Culture Experience Center is located in the lobby level (B1) of Seoul's landmark Namsan Seoul Tower. Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden (남산 야외식물원)

Seoul 323, Sowol-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden opened its doors on February 18, 1997 in Hannam-dong, where the residential complex for foreigners once stood before it was demolished in 1994. Covering an area of around 59 ㎡, it is divided into 13 themed gardens with a total 117,132 plants from 269 species. Among this diversity, 60,912 plants from 129 species are tree types and 56,220 plants from 140 species are grass types.

Namsan Octagonal Pavilion (남산 팔각정)

Seoul 105, Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul Originally known as Unamjeong Pavilion, the pavilion was built in 1959 to commemorate Rhee Syngman. It was demolished by the 4.19 movement in 1960 and was rebuilt on November 11, 1968. This pavilion now sits atop Namsan Mountain, with views covering the entirety of Seoul below. As it is a prime spot to view the first sunrise of the year, the annual sunrise festival takes place every New Year's Day.

OME Cooking Lab (오미요리연구소)

Olympic Park (올림픽공원)

Oil Tank Culture Park (문화비축기지)

Seoul 87 Jeungsan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul After being used as an oil tank for 41 years, the tanks were reborn into a culture space. The five tanks were transformed into performance halls, exhibition halls, and a multi-purpose pavilion, while one new tank was built to be used as an information center. In addition, the temporary parking lot turned into a culture yard where visitors can relax as well as enjoy activities or performances.

Nam-Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) (서울시립미술관 남서울생활미술관)

Seoul 2076, Nambusunhwan-ro, Gwanak-gu, Seoul The Nam-Seoul Museum of Art offers visitors a meaningful opportunity to linger beside the traces of history. The building previously served as the Belgian Consulate during the Korean Empire (1897-1910) and has since been designated as a historic Site. It was first constructed in Hoehyeon-dong in 1905 and was relocated to its current location in Namhyeon-dong in 1983. The museum hosts public programs tailored for audiences from various backgrounds in rooms arranged along both sides of a long corridor in the two-story building.

Nakseonjae Hall (낙선재)

Seoul 99, Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul Located inside Changdeokgung Palace, Nakseonjae Hall is a one-story structure built in ikgong style (bird wing-shaped eaves placed on top of the pillars) with a hip tiled and gable roof. It has 6 kan in the front and 2 kan (traditional unit of measurement of the space between pillars) to the sides. It originally belonged to the nearby Changgyeonggung Palace, but came to be considered a part of Changdeokgung Palace in more recent years. The hall was constructed in 1846 (12th year of King Heonjong’s reign) and it is collectively called Nakseonjae together with the adjacent Seokbokheon Hall and Sugangjae Hall. Behind the building is a flower garden made of stacked large stones. The chimney, the flowers, and the oddly shaped stones harmoniously blend into one another to create an outstanding landscape gardening.

Ogeum Park (오금공원)

Seoul 363 Ogeum-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul Ogeum Park is a park created by cultivating a mountain with an altitude of 200 meters, providing a panoramic view of Seoul's Songpa district. The park features walking trail, various exercise equipment, and facilities such as badminton and tennis courts. The lawn bowling court is available for use by reservation. There is a toddler forest experience ground and an adventure playground for children, offering activities like rope climbing, rock climbing, net climbing, slides, and spider web climbing.

Naksan Park (낙산공원)

Seoul 41 Naksan-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul Naksan Mountain (alt. 125 meters) is one of the four inner mountains of Seoul, and can be accessed by following the road leading to the mountain entrance from Daehangno and Dongdaemun. It was also called Naktasan Mountain, which can be translated to Camel Mountain, because the terrain resembled a camel's back. It also had another name, Taraksan Mountain, “tarak” meaning fermented milk, because there was a royal ranch in the area that supplied milk to the palace. After the 1960s, the original appearance of Naksan Mountain disappeared due to apartments and dense housing, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government established a restoration plan. As part of this plan, a park project was carried out, and it opened Naksan Park in July 2002. Currently, Naksan Park has established itself as a resting place for citizens to feel the beautiful atmosphere of Hanyangdoseong, or the Seoul City Wall, and green forests. It has gained much popularity as a place for seeing the most beautiful night view in Seoul.

Odong Neighborhood Park (오동근린공원)

Seoul 49, Deongneung-ro 42-gil, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul Odong Neighborhood Park is located in the areas of Beon-dong and Mia-dong in Gangbuk-gu and Wolgok-dong in Seongbuk-gu. The park is large in size and has a dense forest with various facilities like a resting area, community sports center, grassy lawn, tennis court, acupressure trail with red clay, walking paths, and much more. Nungin Sunwon (능인선원)

Seoul 340 Yangjae-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul Nungin Sunwon, nestled at the base of Guryongsan Mountain, is named after another name of Buddha, Sakyamuni, signifying "the one who skillfully educates and benefits others." This temple complex includes several key structures: the Daeungjeon Hall, the Dharma Hall, the Gwaneumjeon Hall, and the resplendent Great Bhaisajyaguru, known for its golden glow.
