Jeju Island Special Tourist Zone (제주도 관광특구)

Jejudo Jeju-do Located to the southwest of the Korean Peninsula, the island of Jeju is Korea's largest tourist destination. The entire island has been designated as a special tourist zone, and it's easy to see why: there is hardly any spot on the island that is not photogenic. Unlike mainland Korea, which has a temperate climate, Jeju boasts a climate that is closer to subtropical. Hallasan Mountain, lying at the center of the island, is surrounded by 368 parasitic cones, known as "Oreum." Eleven beaches have been designated as tourist beaches, but including those that are not officially designated, the island features nearly thirty beaches in total. Famous beaches include Iho Tewoo Beach, Samyang Beach, Hyeopjae Beach, Geumneung Beach, and Gwakji Beach. Jeju's renowned Olle Trails, a system of hiking paths, span a total length of 425 kilometers and would take about fifteen days to complete in their entirety.

Jeju Horse Park (조랑말체험공원)

Jejudo 381-15 Noksan-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Jeju Horse Park offers a venue to promote Jeju’s horse culture in an easy and fun way. The park has kept intact the 600-year history of nomadic culture at the site of Gasi-ri Village which used to house Gammajang, the place for raising the best horses during the Joseon dynasty. The park includes the Jeju Horse Museum, Ttarabi horseback riding track, Maeum Cafe, Mongol Yurt Guesthouse, camping site, Art Shop, and an experience place to focus on the Project for a New Cultural Space Creation through the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The Jeju Horse Museum was the first national museum created by a village and its main theme covers the history and culture of the village. Jeju Camellia Village (제주 동백마을)

Jejudo 22-1 Hansin-ro 531beon-gil, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Located in Seogwipo, Jeju Camellia Village has a 300-year history with its native camellia trees, and is involved in various projects. Visitors can explore the 300-400-year-old camellia trees scattered throughout the village, purchase authentic camellia oil from the community-operated mill, and participate in various experience programs such as camellia soap-making and cooking classes using camellia oil. From October to March, visitors can also purchase tangerines, locally produced by the village residents. The local community is dedicated to preserving the camellia forest for future generations, offering visitors a chance to experience the village’s beauty.

Jeju Bultapsa Temple (불탑사(제주))

Jejudo 41, Wondang-ro 16-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Located in Samyang-dong, Jeju-si, Bultapsa Temple is a branch of Gwaneumsa Temple, the headquarters of the 23rd district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. The temple is nestled at the foot of Wondangbong Peak (alt. 170.4 meters). The temple started out as the Buddhist shrine Wondangsa, one of three temples in Jeju during the Yuan dynasty. Most of the temple was damaged due to the Jeju Uprising on April 3, 1948 and it was rebuilt in 1953. Later, the temple underwent renovations and extension works to get to the current conditions. Today, the temple has Daeungjeon Hall, Yosachae monk quarters, Jonggak Bell Tower, and Cheonwangmun Gate. The temple's five-story stone pagoda is Jeju's only stone pagoda from the Goryeo dynasty. It was designated Treasure No. 1187 in November 1993.

Jeju 4.3 Peace Park (제주4·3평화공원)

Jejudo 430, Myeongnim-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Mankind tends to only remember the heroes of civilization. Jeju 4.3 Peace Park was created to remember those who fell protecting their homeland during the Jeju uprising which broke out on April 3, 1948. The park is the symbol of reconciliation and peace, and seeks to open a new chapter of life. The development project of Jeju 4.3 Peace Park was a result of the reparations for the victims of the Jeju uprising. The 4.3 Special law was promulgated in the year 2000, and the following steps proceeded: property acquisition for the park, master plan of the park establishment, design competitions for the park, construction, exhibits and installations. It finally opened to the public on March 28, 2008.

Ilchulland (일출랜드)

Gogeunsan Mountain (고근산)

Jejudo Gogeunsan-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Located near Seogwipo-si on Jeju Island, Gogeunsan Mountain (altitude of 396 m, relative x_height of 171 m, a circumference of 4,324 m) is a parasitic cone volcano and an oreum with a shallow crater on the top. Although it is not high in elevation, its expansive presence offers outstanding views overlooking nearby areas including Marado Island and Jigwido Island. Geumneung Beach (금능해수욕장)

The newly built showers supply warm water, which is another advantge of the beach. It is recommended to visit the beach during the hours of ebb tide. Once the sea water recedes afar, a vast, beautiful sandy beach appears. Namwon Keuneong Coast (남원 큰엉해안)

Jejudo 522-17, Taewi-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Namwon Keuneong Coast's name means "a hill shaped like an opened mouth ready to swallow up the sea," with Jeju dialect "-eong" meaning "hill". The coastal cliff that reach up to 30 meters in x_height and 200 meters in length is covered with soft green grass. In addition to the two natural caves, visitors can also find a 2-kilometer walking path along the coastline, an observatory deck, resting area, and other amenities. Oedolgae Sea Stack (외돌개(제주))

Norimae Park (노리매공원)

Jejudo 2260-15 Jungsanganseo-ro, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Norimae Park gets its name from the Korean words for "play" and "apricot." As is expected from the name, the park is filled with apricot trees as well as other blossoms like daffodils, peonies, camelia trees and more. Nonjinmul (논짓물)

Jejudo 253 Yeraehaean-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Nonjinmul is a natural beach created as spring water flows into the sea, causing seawater and freshwater to meet. “Nonjinmul” means “just throwing away the water” because the spring water rises up close to the coast and cannot be used for agricultural or drinking water. Currently, a large amount of freshwater flows into the sea, and it has an embankment, pools, and showers, making it a popular swimming spot. In the summer, the Yerae Eco Village Experience Festival is held here, where visitors can enjoy various memorable experiences, such as catching olive flounder with one’s bare hands. Nonjinmul is part of the Jeju Olle Trail Course 8. Yerae Coastal Road, stretching out next to it, is an excellent driving course where one can enjoy the seascape. It is also great to stop by Nonjinmul while enjoying trekking or driving. However, the waves are strong outside the saltwater pool, so caution is needed to avoid accidents.
