Hallasan Mountain [National Geopark] (한라산 (제주도 국가지질공원))

Jejudo 2070-61 1100-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Hallasan Mountain stands proudly at the center of Jeju Island and is perhaps the island’s most memorable landmark. Also called Yeongjusan Mountain, meaning "mountain high enough to pull the galaxy," Hallasan Mountain is widely known by scientists for its geological value. Designated as a national park in 1970, there are 368 parasitic cones called "oreum" (Jeju dialect meaning peak) around the main mountain. Hallasan Mountain is famous for its vertical ecosystem of plants that results from the varying temperatures along the mountainside. Over 1,800 kinds of plants and 4,000 species of animals (3,300 species of insects) have been identified; to explore the mountain's treasures, simply follow one of the well-developed hiking trails.

Halla Ecological Forest (한라생태숲)

Jejudo 2596, 516-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Spanning 196 hectares, Halla Ecological (Eco) Forest is home to 288,000 trees representing 333 indigenous plant species. Having been designated as a conservation area, the forest provides plenty of great opportunities to observe and learn about Jeju's diversified ecosystem through various facilities including an observatory, plant nurseries, walking trails, and more. The forest also features 13 themed forests with low-impact facilities to preserve the essence of the forest. Hagosudong Beach (하고수동해변)

Jejudo Yeonpyeong-ri, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Hagosudong Beach, often referred to as "The Saipan of Korea" with its sandy beach and spectacular formation of rocks and cliffs, is located on Udo Island off the coast of Jeju Island. Although all beaches surrounding Jeju are beautiful, Hagosudong is more exotic and distinctive in nature. Gyorae Natural Recreation Forest (교래자연휴양림)

Jejudo 2023, Namjo-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Gyorae Natural Recreation Forest, located in Jeju’s Gotjawal region, is a forest park divided into four zones. The recreation zone features forest thatched cottages and an outdoor performance venue. The camping zone includes campgrounds, an outdoor stage, and a futsal field. The ecological experience zone offers opportunities to observe the Gotjawal ecosystem. The forest bathing zone has a 3.5-km Oreum trail leading to Keunjigeuri Oreum. Gwangchigi Beach (광치기해변)

Jejudo Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Located on the way from Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone to Seopjikoji, Gwangchigi Beach marks the end point of Jeju Olle Trail Route 1 and the starting point of Route 2. It is known for its unique geological formation, where hot lava cools down immediately upon meeting the sea. During low tides, visitors can see hidden scenic spots. The frozen lava covered with green moss, creates a spectacular view. In particular, the stunning sunrise view with Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone in the backdrop attracts a lot of visitors. Gosalli Forest Trail (고살리 숲길)

Jejudo Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do The Gosalli Forest Trail runs along a stream in Harye 2-ri, Namwon-eup on the southern part of Jeju Island. The area was recognized by the Ministry of Environment in 2013 for their outstanding efforts in preserving and protecting the local ecology. The forest trail passes through one of Jeju's beautiful forested areas, and is perfect for peaceful leisure walks, being less known among tourists. Gwaneumsa Temple (Jeju) (관음사(제주))

Gwandeokjeong Pavillion (Jeju) [관덕정(제주)]

Jejudo 19 Gwandeok-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do One of the oldest buildings in Jeju, Gwandeokjeong Pavilion was established in 1448 by the magistrate of Jeju with the purpose of training local soldiers. This historical edifice is renowend for its intricately painted girders, adorned with murals depicting the ten symbols of longevity, scenes from the Battle of Red Cliffs, and hunting imagery. Additionally, the pavilion's signboard is reputed to feature the handwriting of Prince Anpyeong, a notable figure from the Joseon era. Gwandeokjeong Pavillion is part of the Jeju-mok Government Office complex.

Gueom Port (구엄포구)

Jejudo 607-5, Gueom-ri, Jeju-si, Jeju Near Aewol's coastal road, a beautiful sunset spot, there is the small and quaint Gueom Port. Next to the port, there is a rock saltern. This is where salt was produced on top of the basalt. The beautiful coastal road along the rock saltern was designated as a coastal path. Jejudo 34, Manjanggul-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Gimnyeongsagul Cave is located close to Manjanggul Cave in the northeastern part of Jeju Island. The name of the cave, "Sagul," comes from the snake-like formation of the cave ("sa" meaning serpent). The entrance of the cave is wide like a serpent holding its mouth wide open, but once inside, the tunnel narrows resembling the body of a snake. Gimnyeongsagul Cave is a highly protected area and has been designated as Natural Monument along with Manjanggul Cave.

Gimnyeong Seongsegihaebyeon Beach (김녕성세기해변 (김녕해수욕장))

Jejudo 237 Gujwahaean-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do The clear waters that are highlighted with cobalt-blue and the clean white sand of Gimnyeong Seongsegihaebyeon Beach steal the hearts of visitors every year. The beach is also popular with fishermen, who enjoy rope fishing from the rocks. This area is known to be good for catching striped beakfish and spotty belly greenlings. Jejudo Nabeup-ri, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Geumsan Park is a dense evergreen forest near a village in Aeweol-eup, Jeju-si. The forest is the sole evergreen forest remaining in the flatlands of western Jeju, and is home to tall evergreens and 60 species of subtropical plants. The forest is preserved and protected as a Natural Monument and a natural resource for academic research. Collecting plants and hunting in the forest are strictly prohibited.

Geumneung Seokmulwon (Geumneung Rock Park) (금능석물원)

Jejudo Jeju is often referred to as Samda-do, which can be translated to “island of three abundances,” because it has many stones, wind, and women. Stones from Jeju are prohibited from being taken out of Jeju and only processed stones are exported. The most well-known processed stone production in Jeju is dol hareubang (“stone grandfather”). Geumneung Rock Park is a place where travelers who are tired of seeing the same-old dol hareubang can appreciate the essence of Jeju stones. It is a park created on a 33,058m² site by master craftsman Jang Gong-ik, who has been making dol hareubang for about 40 years, expressing aspects of Jeju life through stones. The park has a Buddhist-friendly atmosphere overall with statues of Buddha, which are all works of Jang Gong-ik, who has maintained this place for decades.
