Sanbangsan Canola Field (산방산유채꽃밭)

Jejudo San18 Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do The Sanbangsan Canola Field is located next to the public parking lot in front of Sanbangsan Land, making it very easy to find. The vast fields create a beautiful landscape of yellow blossoms before the backdrop of Sanbangsan Mountain. The flowers are usually at peak bloom in March. In addition to Sanbangsan Mountain, other nearby attractions include Yongmeorihaean Coast, and Sagyehaean Coast.

Sanbanggulsa Grotto - Jeju (산방굴사(제주))

Jejudo 218-12 , Sanbang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do It is said that the peak of Hallasan Mountain where Baekrokho Lake now exists was taken off and thrown away, which then became Sanbangsan Mountain. The myth describes how unlike other mountains on Jejudo Island, this mountain does not have a crater. The 5m-high rock cave at the cliff on the southwest side of the mountain was originally called Sanbanggul Cave, but it is called a temple now because it possesses a Buddhist statue. This is where monk Hye-Il (964~1053) had lived during the Goryeo dynasty (918~1392) Inside the cave, you can see Marado Island and the Dragon Head Coast. You can also see small ponds being made by the water drops that fall from the ceiling all through the year. The plant zone on a cliff of Sanbangsan Mountain is also designated as a natural monument. It is the only place on Jejudo Island where island boxwoods grow. On the Dragon Head Coast is the Hamel Memorial Monument.

Sammaebong Peak (삼매봉)

Jejudo 83, Namseong-ro 115beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Sammaebong Peak is residental park popular among tourists. Oedolgae Rock is located near the park, toward the southern sea. At the top of the peak, Namseongjeong Pavilion offers an expansive view inclusive of Beomseom Island, Munseom Island, Saeseom Island and Seopseom Island, in addition to Marado Island and Gapado Island to the west. Baengnokdam Lake seems nearly within reach to visitors looking out from the peak. Legend has it that if you stretch your hands toward the sky at night, Canopus (the second-brightest star) is almost within reach. The place is regarded as one of everlasting youth, as Canopus is associated with lifespan. Visitors can exercise and enjoy at walk at the park during the day and in the evenings.

Sagyehaebyeon Beach (사계해변)

Jejudo 2147-35 Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Sagyehaebyeon Beach is located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain. Created by wind, waves, and the geological features of the sedimentary layers in Hwasun-ri, the large and small marine potholes look like craters on the moon. Due to the geographical characteristics, the scenery is more beautiful if seen at low tide.

Saeyeongyo Bridge (Saeseom Island) (새섬 새연교)

Jejudo 40 Namseongjung-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Saeyeongyo Bridge connects Seogwipo Port to the uninhabited Saeseom Island. Its name means "a bridge creating new relationships." The walking path features musical benches and is renowned for its sunset and night views. There is a beautiful musical fountain show twice a day. It's a pleasant walk from Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls, crossing the Saeyeongyo Bridge to Saeseom Island.

Saebyeol Oreum Volcanic Cone (새별오름)

Jejudo San 59-8 Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Located in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Saebyeol Oreum Volcanic Cone is a parasitic volcano cone set alone that looks like a lonely star (Saetbyeol in Korean) in the night sky, giving this volcano cone its name. Based on the highest south peak, small peaks continue in the northwest direction, forming an oval-shape. The oreum is a mid-sized oreum among 360 oreums on Jeju Island and it features a stunning view from the peak of the beautiful ridges connecting to one another.

Pyoseon Haevich Beach (표선 해비치 해변)

Jejudo Minsokhaean-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Pyoseon Beach in Seogwipo is a spacious beach, taking up more than 150,000 m². During low tide, the beach looks like an elegant circle, and it becomes a circular lake less than 1 meter deep during high tide, and displays many different colors. The beach is a great place for children to play and for watching the sunrise. The sand on the beach is formed out of broken shells, and sand baths are believed to be effective for people suffering from neuralgia. Every August, this beautiful beach hosts the Pyoseon White Sand Festival, which offers fun and colorful events. The beach is equipped with excellent amenities (a campground, abundant parking space, dressing rooms and shower rooms) and surrounded by nearby attractions, such as Seongeup Folk Village and Jeju Folk Village Museum.

Marado Island (Mara Provincial Park) (마라도(마라해양도립공원))

Jejudo 46, Mara-ro 101beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Marado Island is the southernmost island in Korea and features one seemingly endless plain of waving grass for a unique landscape. The island is quite small, at only 300 ㎡, and is home to approximately 80 people in 30 families. The island is famous for sea fishing, and is accessible via ferry from Museulpo Port. Marado Island first became inhabited in 1883, when three families began living there. At first they lived off the food growing there, but once the food became scarce, they burned the forests to create fields for farming. It was said that all the snakes and frogs died in that fire, and thus no snakes and frogs are found in Marado Island even until now.

Lumiverse: Island of Light (빛의 섬 루미버스)

Jejudo 631-34 Minsokhaean-ro, Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Lumiverse: Island of Light is an evening theme park set in a Jeju folk village as a local-hip cultural entertainment attraction. A gigantic multimedia show and characters inspired by Jeju's folklore bring the night alive. The attraction's name is a portmanteau of "Lumi," wich means light in Latin, and "-verse" from the word "univserse," and is a brand that aims to recreate Jeju's mythical world with lights and arts. Visitors are invited to enjoy the evening with Jeju's mythical gods and goddesses, including the legendary guardian goddess Elderly Mago. The attraction is divided into seven illuminated themed zones, each focusing on one of the seven gods and goddesses. Each theme is decorated using lights, artworks, sound effects and narratives that are sure to enchant one's mind.

Jewon Haneul (제원 하늘농원)

Jejudo 72-5 Daeheulbuk-gil, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Jewon Haneul, spanning 26,046 square meters, has open fields and greenhouse facilities for tangerines. It is certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs for non-pesticide farming, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and low-carbon practices. The farm grows various citrus fruits throughout the year. Green tangerines are harvested from August to September, field-grown tangerines in October, and Hwanggeumhyang, Redhyang, and Cheonhyehyang varieties from December to February. From the end of April until early May, the farm is adorned with tangerine flowers. It operates various food therapy programs, such as making tangerine marmalade, tangerine cakes, green tangerine syrup, and summer tangerine syrup, depending on the season. In addition, it provides sound therapy programs like singing bowl meditation in the tangerine orchard and making glass wind chimes attached with a wish tag. As such, the farm has become a space for relaxation and rest for those with exhausted minds and bodies.

Jeongbangpokpo Falls (정방폭포)

Jejudo 37 Chilsimni-ro 214beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Jeongbangpokpo Falls, one of the three major waterfalls in Jeju-do, along with Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls and Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls, is located about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the center of Seogwipo. The waterfall is the only coastal waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the sea, reaching 23 meters in height, 8 meters in width, and 5 meters in depth. When sunlight is reflected on the pouring water with the magnificent sound of a waterfall, a rainbow of seven colors harmonizes with the blue sea, creating a captivating atmosphere. On the high cliffs along the beach, old pine trees stand with branches hanging over the sea as if they were falling.

Jeoji Oreum (Dakmol Oreum, Sae Oreum) (저지오름(닥몰오름,새오름))

Jejudo Jungsanganseo-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Jeoji Oreum is situated in Jeoji-ri, Hangyeong-myeon in Jeju-si. This parasitic cone rises 239 meters above sea level, is 100 meters high, and has a crater with a circumference of 800 meters and 62 meters deep. The crater is round and in the shape of a funnel. It is said that Jeoji Oreum is as old as Jeoji Village. It is also called Dakmoru or Sae Oreum. Nearby, there are Gamaechang Oreum and Heoritdang, showing just how long the history of Jeoji Village is. In the past, people harvested wild weeds from Jeoji Oreum to cover their thatched-roof houses. Over time, trees were planted and today, Jeoji Oreum is covered with a dense forest. The area has been designated a "Forest of Life" since June 2005.
