Breeding Ground of Grey Herons (진천 노원리 왜가리 번식지)
Chungcheongbukdo 113-12, Nonsil-gil, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do The Breeding Ground of Grey Herons is located behind the Nogok Village in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. The migratory birds nestled on the 1,000-year-old ginkgo tree. However, as the tree started to decay due to bird droppings over time, resulting in the loss of the birds' main nest. Subsequently, the birds started to settle in the surrounding bushes and forests. In order to preserve the habitat and encourage gray heron breeding, the area was designated as a Natural Monument.

Bosingak Belfry (보신각 터)
Seoul 54, Jong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul Bosingak Belfry is also known as Jonggak. It was the site in which a large bell, used to keep the time in Seoul, was found during the Joseon period (1392-1897). Bosingak Belfry was burned down during the Korean War (1950-1953) and was reconstructed in 1979. The original bell was moved to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, and a new bell was forged in 1985. At midnight, January 1, the bell at the Bosingak Belfry is rung to welcome the new year. Many people gather around the belfry to make a wish for their new year.

Boseong Ganggol Village (보성 강골마을)

Boryeong Spring Cool Tunnel & Rest Area (보령 냉풍욕장)
Chungcheongnamdo 190 Naengpungyokjang-gil, Cheongna-myeon, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do Boryeong Spring Cool Tunnel & Rest Area is located on the slopes of Seongjusan Mountain in Boryeong-si, originally an abandoned mine that extended underground for hundreds of meters. Even in the summer when temperatures soar above 30°C, the cool breeze here maintains around 12°C, making it cooler when the outside temperature is high. Dishes made from button mushrooms cultivated using the abandoned mine are also available for dining.

Boryeong Mud Museum (보령머드박물관)

Boryeong Jukdo Island (죽도 (보령))
Chungcheongnamdo 408-54, Nampobangjoje-ro, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do Although called Jukdo Island, the island today is technically not an island as it has been connected to the mainland since the construction of Nampo Embankment in 1999. Along the entrance of the island are many fresh hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants lining the street. This unpopulated fishing island is also called Daeseom (Bamboo Island) for its dense groves of bamboo trees.

Boryeong Beach Special Tourist Zone (보령 해수욕장 관광특구)
Chungcheongnamdo Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do The Boryeong Beach Special Tourist Zone consists of three major attractions: Daecheon Beach, Muchangpo Beach and Jukdo Island. The 3.5-kilometer-long, 100-meter-wide Daecheon Beach is popular as the main venue for the annual Boryeong Mud Festival, which attracts about 2 million domestic and international tourists every year. The soft, white sand and lush pine trees also make this an ideal beach to visit for a walk. Various accommodations can easily be found here since the area has been a popular tourist destination for quite some time. Located south of Daecheon Beach, Muchangpo Beach is where visitors can witness a sea-parting phenomenon in the summer. The 1.5-kilometer “Mystic Sea Road” between Muchangpo Beach and Seokdaedo Island reveals itself when the water levels go down due to the difference in the ebb and flow of the tides. During the sea parting, visitors will be able to catch clams, crabs and shellfish. The beach also offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. Jukdo Island is located midway between Daecheon Beach and Muchangpo Beach. This unpopulated fishing island is known for its dense groves of bamboo trees. The waters in front of the island are clean and full of fish, drawing a large number of visitors for sea fishing.

Borinara Hagwon Farm (보리나라 학원농장)

The farm has been seeing a flood of tourists and photographers since its recognition as a tourist-friendly farm. The farm has also featured in several media channels such as dramas, commercials, and films. To entertain the growing number of visitors, the farm hosts the Green Barley Field Festival in spring and the Buckwheat Flower Festival in fall before the harvest season when the crops are at their peak. In addition to the festivals, visitors can also participate in various activities and buy souvenirs as well as local produce.

Boramae Safety Experience Center (보라매안전체험관)

Bongwonsa Temple (봉원사)
Seoul 120, Bongwonsa-gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul Located on the outskirts of Ansan Mountain in Bongwon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Bongwonsa Temple, as the center of Korean Buddhism Taego, is a thousand-year-old temple with a long history and tradition. In 889 (3rd year of Shilla Queen Jinseong’s reign), Monk Doseon founded it at the ground of Yeonhui Palace (now Yonsei Univ.) and named it Banyasa temple. It was destroyed during the Imjin War in 1592, and later in 1748 (the 24th year of Joseon King Yeongjo’s reign), it was rebuilt and renamed “Bongwonsa” by two Buddhist monks, Chanjeup and Jeungam.“Yeongsanjae,” one of the Buddhist rituals and also a National Intangible Cultural Property, takes place at Bongwonsa on June 6 every year wishing for world peace and the reunification of North and South Korea. It was designated as one of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2009. During Yeongsanjae, visitors can enjoy the Buddhist arts such as Beompae (Buddhist temple music for rituals) and dancing. Also, during summertime, Seoul Lotus Flower Culture Festival takes place, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful lotus flowers which are a symbol of Buddhism.
