The name Chaeseokgang was adapted as it resembles an attraction of the same name in China. Chaeseokgang Cliff was formed from many layers of rocks stratified by the sea, and the blue sea and the rock cliffs together create quite a lovely picture. It is nature’s masterpiece of stratification, and visitors can observe interesting structures and shapes that cannot be seen elsewhere.

Catholic Mokpo Shrine (가톨릭 목포 성지)

At the heart of the shrine stands the Sanjeong-dong Memorial Church, designated as a minor basilica in 2020, along with the Martyrs' Memorial Tower. It is a significant site where visitors can experience the history and culture of Korean Catholicism, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the blue sea and mountains.

Castle at Hwajinpo (화진포의 성(김일성별장))

Gangwondo 280 Hwajinpo-gil, Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do The Castle of Hwajinpo was the summer retreat for Kim Ilsung, former leader of North Korea, and his family from 1948 to 1950. Photos of the family on vacation there show Kim Jungil as a young boy of six years. The building was constructed entirely of stone in 1938 by a German architect for the Sherwood Hall missionary family, and features a basement level and two above-ground floors. The house is now open to the public, with an exhibition of how the house was used by the Kim family, faithfully recreated from photographic research.

Caribbean Bay (캐리비안베이)

Attractions include an artificial wave pool with a x_width of 120 meters and a length of 104 meters, a lazy river that passes through indoor and outdoor pools, and various slides that maximize adventure and thrill. Indoor facilities include a wave pool, slides, spas, and saunas. One of the park's best attractions is Mega Storm, a large, complex water slide. The circular tube starts from the boarding platform 37 meters above the ground and travels 355 meters rotating in all directions and going up and down three rapid descents. The last part of the ride is a large 18-meter funnel-shaped tornado that gives riders a zero gravity experience for about 55 to 60 seconds.

Camp Greaves DMZ Experience Center (캠프 그리브스)

Gyeonggido 137 Jeoksipja-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Camp Greaves served as a camp base for the 506th US Second Infantry Division for about 50 years after the ceasefire agreement of the Korean War. The land was given back to the Korean government in 2007. The camp has been turned into a peace and security experience facility, and it is located approximately 2 kilometers away from the DMZ. It is also the first youth hostel to be located within a restricted area for civilians in Paju city.An entire building of the US Army officer quarters was remodeled into a youth hostel and can accommodate up to 240 guests. The hostel is comprised of an office, a small auditorium on the first floor, rooms on the second and third floors, and a large auditorium on the fourth floor. Byukchoji Pond has a Lotus Flower Garden with lotus flowers blooming. Visitors can walk on the trails built above the pond to examine the flowers up close. Nearby tourist sites include Bakdalsan Mountain, Paju Book City, and the Paju Samneung Cluster, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Byeonsanbando National Park (변산반도국립공원)

The park is divided into two large sections: the shore area, called Outer Byeonsan, and an inland area called Inner Byeonsan. It has mountain peaks made up of unique rock formation, such as Uisanbong Peak (508 meters), Chaeseokgang Cliff, and Jeokbyeokgang Cliffs. Nearby Gyeokpo Port and Naesosa Temple are all worth exploring, enriching the experience of the area. It's also well known for having the latest sunset in the country with stunning panoramic views.

Gyeongsangbukdo 386 Byeongsan-gil, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Before it became a Confucian academy, Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy was originally located in Pungsang-hyeon under the name Pungakseodang School, which was used as a educational institution since the Goryeo dynasty by a political party known as the Sarim Party. It was moved to its current location in Byeongsan by a well-respected Confucian scholar named Yu Seong-nyong, penname Seoae, in 1572, and renamed to Byeongsanseowon in 1614.In 1863, Byeongsanseowon was recognized by the king to receive support as a private Confucian academy. The lecture hall and shrine were reconstructed in 1921 and 1937 respectively as part of preservation efforts made during the Japanese occupation. This academy is designated as a Historic Site, housing a collection of 1,000 documents and 3,000 books, including works by Yu Seong-nyong.

Byeolmaro Observatory (별마로천문대)

Gangwondo 397 Cheonmundae-gil, Yeongwol-eup, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do Byeolmaro is a public astronomical observatory built on the peak of Bongnaesan Mountain (alt. 799.8 m) in Yeongwol. The term "Byeolmaro" combines the words byeol (star), ma (peak) and ro (peaceful). Together, they collectively represent the wish to view stars in a clean and peaceful environment. The observatory has a variety of telescopes, including one with a diameter of 80 centimeters. The observatory also has accommodation facilities, audio & visual rooms, and a lecture hall, making it suitable for educational programs.
