Daeijakdo Island (대이작도)

Incheon Ijak-ri, Ongjin-gun, Incheon Ijakdo Island is made up of Daeijakdo Island and Soijakdo Island. In the past, the island was called Ijeokdo Island because it served as a hideout for pirates. The sea, mountain, and shoal exist in harmony. The beauty of Daeijakdo Island comes from the view of the blue ocean from the peak of Buasan Mountain and the shoal that only appears during low tide. The shoal almost reaches Soijakdo Island and creates a large field of sand. The shoal is also called pulchi and only appears during low tide for six hours a day.

Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation (대한다원)

Jeollanamdo 763-65, Nokcha-ro, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation produces high-quality green tea and is a popular tourist attraction year-round thanks to the vast rows of tea trees that line the hillside like a deep green carpet. Despite being located on a small peak at just 350 meters above sea level, the observation deck at the summit offers views of the sea on clear days. The entrance to the tea plantation is also lined with tall cedar trees, adding a unique aspect to this plantation. Daegwallyeong Yangtte Ranch (대관령양떼목장)

Gangwondo 483-32 Daegwallyeongmaru-gil, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do Daegwallyeong Yangtte Ranch is situated at an elevation of 920 meters, sprawling across 205,000 square meters of open grassland. The sheep roam freely throughout the year, except in winter, allowing visitors to wander the trails and watch the flock in their natural setting. For those looking to interact more directly, there is an option to participate in a feeding experience, where visitors can feed hay to the sheep. A 1.2-meter-long circular walkway encircles the sheep grazing field, and a leisurely stroll along this path takes about 40 minutes. The ranch is also known for its numerous scenic photo opportunities. Additionally, a wildlife habitat community is established at the center of the ranch, enhancing its ecological appeal.

Daegwallyeong Snow Town (대관령 눈꽃마을)

Gangwondo 27-22, Chahangseonyeok-gil, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do Nestled in the high altitudes on the outskirts of Baekdudaegan Mountain Range's Hwangbyeongsan Mountain, Daegwallyeong Snow Town is a small farm village that pioneered Korea's high-land agriculture and is well-recognized for its ranches. It is also the birthplace of Korea's ski facilities and beholds the pride of cultural value of sports and tradition as the village's Pyeongchang Hwangbyeongsan Mountain Hunting Tradition was designated as the 19th Intangible Cultural Heritage of Gangwon. Eighty-percent of the village land consists of forests and in year 2008, Daegwallyeong Snow Town opened a Mountain Village Ecology Center under the supervision of Korea Forest Service and Pyeongchang-gun County. A variety of experience programs are available throughout the year according to the season, such as picking dog-tooth violets, gomchwi, and cirsium in spring, ranger training experience and cooking rice with cirsium in summer, riding on a donkey and creating individual plant guidebooks in fall, and enjoying winter sledding and other winter activities in winter. Other activities including horseback riding, ATV, peformances are also available.

Daegullyeong Village (대굴령마을)

Gangwondo 17, Seongyeon-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do Daegullyeong Village is a tourist complex located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, which provides visitors with a host of various traditional experiences, sporting events, and lodging accommodations. The village of Daegullyeong got its name from the series of 832-m long Daegwallyeong ridges that stretch along the bordering regions of Gangneung and Pyeongchang. Although the mountain ridges present rigorous passages with 99 turns, the area is popular for its magnificent scenery. Daegullyeong Village boasts the beautiful Daegwallyeong ridges and clear waters of the valleys in the mountain villages where tourists can take in the spectacular views of Bogwang 1(il)-ri, Bogwang 2(yi)-ri, and Eoheul-ri. The local specialties include the traditional doenjang (soybean paste), various soy and bean pastes, corn, traditional fermented soybeans, potatoes, and vegetables. Visitors can stay at any number of pensions in the area, then take a tour around a traditional soy and bean paste factory and participate in various experience programs such as soy and bean paste making, straw arts and crafts, folk games, and traditional performances.

The building's first floor has a gym, a souvenir shop, and other stores. The second floor features a Bade (meaning bathing) pool, a children's pool, the Samhap experience room, the UK-Ball jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), a fast food store, a cave-like jjimjilbang, and a sleeping room. On the fourth floor, there is a large hot spring bath area (Yin-Yang & Five Elements Bath), a UK-Ball sauna; a red clay sleeping room, an outdoor bath, an outdoor water park with a wave pool, a lazy river, water slides (body slide and tube slide), a water polo pool, and a diving pool. Spavalley's hot spring sauna consists of the Yin-Yang & Five Elements Bath and the UK-ball Sauna. The former consists of various baths beneficial to one's health and can improve the body's natural rhythm. These baths are a combination of traditional Eastern medicine, ancient folk remedies derived from life experiences, and remedies that utilize natural energy. They are themed around bamboo, Indian madar, juniper, and mulberry. The UK-Ball sauna features UK-Ball, a new material that emits energy (ki). Based on yin & yang harmony and the five elements, this sauna can effectively detoxify the body and remove waste, while significantly improving skin beauty and body shape. Daegu Motorcycle Street (대구 오토바이골목)

Daegu Ingyo-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu Daegu Motorcycle Street is located in Ingyo-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu along Sijangbuk-ro. The street was originally a creek lined with houses, but in 1953 the creek was covered over and made into a paved road. Gas stations and stores selling automotive parts sprung up, turning the area into a thriving commercial district. In 1961, the first motorcycle store opened its doors and was quickly followed by several more. Currently there are 40 motorcycle stores, making this 200-meter-long street one of Daegu’s most unique shopping areas. Shoppers can find a vast array of new and secondhand motorcycles both domestic and imported, as well as a wide selection of motorcycle parts and accessories.

Daegu Modern History Streets (Tour of Modern Streets) (대구 근대…

Daegu 66, Gukchaebosang-ro 102-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu Daegu Modern History Streets is an experiential tour that brings the participants across Daegu’s alleyways and living history. During the Korean War, Daegu was much less damaged than other regions. Because of that, the city retains the changes in lifestyles before and after the war relatively well. There are 13 courses in total, run by regional self-governance groups in Daegu, defined according to different themes and areas. The most popular among them is Course 2, the Modern Cultural Street, which takes visitors on a tour of major sites associated with Daegu’s modernity. Follow the retro aesthetics and the history of Daegu and Korea along places like Kyesan Catholic Church, Jeil Church, old houses, and the former Chinese Elementary School. Note that multilingual tours are offered to international visitors in English, Japanese, and Chinese, in regular tours (14:00 every Saturday) and on-demand tours (available for groups of more than 5). Daegu Korean Chinese Association (대구화교협회)

Daegu 34, Jong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu Daegu Korean Chinese Association building is a red brick two-story Western-style house built in 1929. Seo Byeong-guk, a rich man in Daegu, entrusted the design and construction to Mo Mungeum, a Chinese architect. It is a flat rectangular structure, and the protruding granite porch balances left and right symmetry. There is a theory that the bricks were brought from Pyeongyang and the woods from Geumgangsan Mountain. It was also used as an HID (Headquarters of Intelligence Detachment) building. There is one building, a playground, a statue of Chiang Kai-shek, and a mural of a Chinese figure painted at the entrance. It is a representative modern building in the Daegu area that boasts a beautiful appearance and is currently used as the office of the Daegu Korean Chinese Association. It was designated as a National Registered Cultural Heritage on June 19, 2006, as it shows the style of modern architecture in the 1930s, not many examples of which are left. This is the last stop of Daegu Modern Alley Tour Course 2.

Daegu Gyesan Cathedral (대구 계산동성당)

Daegu 10 Seoseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu Daegu Gyesan Cathedral is one of Daegu's main churches, designed by Father Poisnel, who also designed Myeongdong Cathedral and imported stained glass for the windows directly from France. Being located in the city center, the cathedral is especially beautiful when seen at night.
