Suncheonman Wetland (순천만습지)

Jeollanamdo 513-25 Suncheonman-gil, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do Suncheonman Wetland is one of the world's top five coastal wetlands, stretching along a 3km river with mudflats and reed beds. The reed colonies serve as wintering and breeding grounds for various birds such as Hooded Cranes. The tidal flats are home to diverse species including Mudskippers and East Asian Seepweed. It's an ecological tourist destination where visitors can enjoy the spectacular sunset over the S-shaped waterway of Suncheonman Bay from the observatory, accompanied by flocks of birds flying above the reed beds.

Songjeonhaebyeon Beach (송전해수욕장)

Gangwondo 21-7 Songjeon-ri, Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do This beach ranks among Korea's most favored surfing destinations. With its pristine white sand, it stretches 900 meters in length and 80 meters in x_width, and has a depth of 1 meter. It holds the distinction of being the second largest and longest white sand beach in Yangyang-gun, following Naksanhaebyeon Beach. Suncheonman National Garden (순천만국가정원)

Jeollanamdo 47 Gukgajeongwon1ho-gil, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do Suncheonman National Garden & Suncheonman Wetland is the first national garden of South Korea and one of the five major coastal wetlands in the world. The national garden spans 1.12 million square meters and is located in Dosa-dong, Suncheon-si. It is home to 790,000 trees covering 505 species, and 3.15 million flowers covering 113 species. During spring, tulips and royal azaleas are in full bloom, creating magnificent views. Additionally, there is a 30,000 square-meter canola flower field near the Forest of Sharing. You can see yellow waves of canola flowers in full bloom in mid-May. The city of Suncheon has planted 50,000 Japanese hackberries and zelkova trees along major routes in the area to create natural shade. There is a small unmanned personal rapid transit (PRT) system that operates between the Suncheonman National Garden and the Suncheon Literary Museum section (4.64 kilometers in length). After looking around the garden, visitors can take the PRT to the literary museum. There, they can take the Reed Train which travels 1.2 kilometers to Mujingyo Bridge located at the entrance of Suncheonman National Garden. Suncheon Songgwangsa Temple (송광사(순천))

Jeollanamdo 100 Songgwangsaan-gil, Songgwang-myeon, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do Songgwangsa Temple is a temple located to the west of Jogyesan Mountain and is known as one of the three priceless temples along with Haeinsa Temple in Hapcheon and Tongdosa Temple in Yangsan. It was founded during the Silla dynasty and boasts cultural assets including four national treasures and 26 treasures, along with over 80 buildings including the Daeungbojeon Hall. Additionally, it operates the Buddhist Museum exhibiting temple cultural assets, a Buddhist university, and templestay programs.

Suncheon Heungryunsa Temple (흥륜사 (순천))

Jeollanamdo 102, Jangdae-gil, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do Heungryunsa Temple is a missionary center of the Hwaeomsa Temple. Located in Jukdobong Park (downtown Suncheon), the site was previously used as an archery range. *History Heungryunsa Temple is a branch of Hwaeomsa Temple, which is the 19th local temple of Jogye Order. It is said that Heungryunsa Temple was constructed during the reign of King Seonjo of the Joseon dynasty and that the site was used as a place where naval forces practiced archery during the Imjin War in 1592. At the same time, the temple was the first military base of monk-turned-military officers from Hwaeomsa, Songgwangsa, and Seonamsa Temples. The current building was reconstructed in 1986 by Monk Jongwon, who is still the chief abbot of the temple.

Songjeong Beach (송정해수욕장)

Busan 62 Songjeonghaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan Songjeong Beach stretches for 1.2 kilometers with a x_width ranging from 30 to 60 meters. The white sandy beach is ideal for families with young children because of its shallow waters. The beach is very popular as a photography venue for pre-wedding photoshoots. The area around the beach offers many hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants. Jukdo Park is located north of the beach at the entrance to Songjeonghang Port. The white and red lighthouses of the harbor are a popular photo spot, as well as the view of the beach from Songiljeong Pavilion at the peak of Jukdo Park. The path leads through a grove of evergreens. Fishermen often line the breakwaters to the lighthouses.

Songido Island (송이도)

Jeollanamdo Songi-ri, Nagwol-myeon, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do Songido Island, the second largest island in Nagwol-myeon District, is home to Korea's one and only white pebble beach, several different species of trees, sea caves and joints created by coastal erosion. Moreover, it features various leisure activities such as fishing, camping and swimming. Chilsando, an affiliated islet of the Songido, is home to a yellow-billed egret, designated as Natural Monument No. 361, and a black-tailed gull. The sound of the black-tailed gull was selected as the most beautiful sound that a living creature can make in the competition sponsored by the Ministry of Environment in 1999. Moreover, the islet has been named as the most beautiful island in the nation by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in 2003.

Songhyeon Green Plaza (열린송현 녹지광장)

Seoul Songhyeon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul Songhyeon Green Plaza, located between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jongno, is a space for culture and rest. The site was formerly used as housing for Shiksan Bank during Japanese rule. After Korea’s liberation, it served as a residence for the US Embassy and military personnel. Later in 1997, it was returned to the Korean government but remained unused for years. In 2022, the ownership was transferred to the Korean House and Land Corporation and then to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which redeveloped it into a green plaza and opened it to the public. Upon entering the plaza, visitors are greeted by a spacious lawn adorned with flowers during the blooming season. The plaza is connected to the nearby tourist attractions through shortcuts cutting through it, including Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House), Gwanghwamun Plaza, Insa-dong, and Bukchon Hanok Village.

Songho Beach (송호해수욕장)

Jeollanamdo 1827, Ttangkkeutaean-ro, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do Songho Beach is the most representative beach in Haenam and was named so for its dense old pine trees, fine sand, and shallow water resembling a lake. The fine sand and shallow waters make it the perfect beach for families. Hundreds of pine trees create a scenic forest reaching almost 1 kilometer along the levee which provides a suitable camping site under in the forest. The Ttangkkeut Trail that starts from Songho Beach auto-campgrond connects to Galsan Village and Ttangkkeut Tower. The windbreak pine forest in Songho-ri, Haenam is designated as Jeollanam-do Natural Monument, consisting of at least 600 pine trees aged 200 years that play a vital role in the coastal shelterbelt.
