Hadong Agyang [Slow City] (경남 하동 악양 [슬로시티])
Gyeongsangnamdo 357, Agyangseo-ro, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Agyang-myeon is located in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, surrounded by Jirisan Mountain and cut through by the Agyangcheon Stream. The unique geographical features allow the village to grow 80% of all persimmons harvested in Hadong. The area is also famous for its green tea, brought over from China during the Unified Silla period.

Hado Beach (하도해변)
Jejudo 1973 Haemajihaean-ro, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Located by the roadside of Hado-ri, known as the most beautiful coastal road in Jeju, Hado Beach is relatively quiet compared to other beaches in Jeju, featuring wide sandy beaches and clear, shallow waters. The gentle scenery unfolds with calm waves, making it suitable for marine leisure activities such as snorkeling and kayaking. Like Rain and Noh Hong-chul in "The Hungry and the Hairy," you can spread a simple table and chair and enjoy a cup of coffee quietly.

Hackberry Tree in Bukbu-ri (창원북부리팽나무)
Gyeongsangnamdo 102-1 Bukbu-ri, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hackberry Tree in Bukbu-ri is the most famous “celebrity tree” in Changwon. It became famous after appearing in episodes 7 and 8 of the popular drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022).” The tree sits on a hilltop, allowing visitors to enjoy the cool breeze and the panoramic view of Changwon's old neighborhood. Bukbu-ri village entrance has signposts leading to the hackberry here and there with drawings of dolphins symbolizing the drama (the drama protagonist’s favorite animal), making it convenient for tourists to reach the tree. The hackberry tree is estimated to be over 500 years old, and its size and scale cannot be captured with a camera in one frame. It is a protected tree designated by the state, visitors are advised to refrain from touching or getting close to the tree.

Gyubongam Hermitage (Hwasun) (규봉암(화순))
Jeollanamdo 40-28 Dowon-gil, Iseo-myeon, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do Gyubongam Hermitage is a small hermitage located on Mudeungsan Mountain. It is believed to have been established during the Silla dynasty (B.C. 57-A.D. 935) and underwent renovations in 1959 to attain its current appearance. Renowned for its picturesque scenery, Gyubongam Hermitage is said to be a must-visit spot for those climbing Mudeungsan Mountain. It is particularly famous for its vibrant autumn foliage, and the area around the hermitage is abundant with rocky cliffs.

Gyorae Natural Recreation Forest (교래자연휴양림)
Jejudo 2023, Namjo-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Gyorae Natural Recreation Forest, located in Jeju’s Gotjawal region, is a forest park divided into four zones. The recreation zone features forest thatched cottages and an outdoor performance venue. The camping zone includes campgrounds, an outdoor stage, and a futsal field. The ecological experience zone offers opportunities to observe the Gotjawal ecosystem. The forest bathing zone has a 3.5-km Oreum trail leading to Keunjigeuri Oreum. The forest is recognized as healing and relaxation space for people to unwind and find relief from the stresses of daily life.

Gyeyangsan Mountain (계양산)
Incheon 26, Gyeyangsan-ro 75beon-gil, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon Gyeyangsan Mountain, which reaches an altitude of 395 meters, is considered a guardian and holy mountain that is representative of Incheon. The mountain’s name changed several times, according to the name changes of the region. It was previously called "Sujuak" as part of the Suju administration of the Goryeo dynasty, "Annamsan Mountain" during Annam administration, and finally was renamed "Gyeyangsan Mountain" during Gyeyang administration. Gyeyangsan’s name originates from the area that is home to the Korean box tree, which produces cassia bark used to make cinnamon. Gyeyang Park was designated as Incheon’s first urban natural park on January 8, 1944, and since then, the mountain has gone on to become the city’s top municipal park.

Gyeryongsan National Park (계룡산국립공원)
Chungcheongnamdo 327-6, Donghaksa 1-ro, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do Gyeryongsan National Park stretches across the cities of Daejeon, Gongju, and Nonsan in Chungcheongnam-do and was made a national park on December 31, 1968. The name of the mountain comes from the fact that the ridgeline looks like a dragon wearing a chicken's crest on its head. The topographical features are what make this mountain stand out and its mysterious folklore is what makes it so interesting. The park features many peaks, including the main peak Cheonhwangbong (alt. 845.1 m), as well as Sambulbong, Yeoncheonbong, and Gwaneumbong Peaks. This mountain is famous for its many interesting sites, with its fantastic rock structures and Yongmunpokpo Falls on the west, Eunseonpokpo Falls to the east, and Amyongchu and Sutyongchupokpo Falls in the south. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the path to Donghaksa Temple, and during summer the lush green of the valley is very beautiful. During fall, the maple trees reveal their crimson colored leaves around Gapsa Temple and Yongmunpokpo Falls. The snowcapped peak of Sambulbong in winter is simply breathtaking. Gyeryongsan is full of rare animals and plants, beautiful waterfalls and a rich history with mysterious legends and cultural treasures. To the east is Donghaksa Temple; northwest, Gapsa Temple; southwest, Sinwonsa Temple; and southeast, Yonghwasa Temple.

Gyeryongsan Ceramics Village (계룡산도예촌)
Chungcheongnamdo 71-25 Doyechon-gil, Banpo-myeon, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do Gyeryongsan Ceramics Village is a traditional pottery community formed by potters on the northern slopes of Gyeryongsan Mountain. It is home to the kiln site where Gyeryongsan iron-underglaze buncheong ware, unique to this area, was produced. The village also features a pottery culture center, an exhibition hall, a shop, a workshop, and a gallery café. Visitors can purchase distinctive works created by artists and enjoy hands-on activities like coiling, using a spinning wheel, and painting pottery.

Gyeryong Musangsa Temple (무상사(계룡))
Chungcheongnamdo 129, Hyangjeoksan-gil, Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do Musangsa Temple is an international Zen Temple exclusively for foreigners. The temple aims at promoting Korean Zen Buddhism among foreign monks and nuns while encouraging non-Buddhist priests and religious leaders to experience Zen. Twice a year (once in the summer and once in the winter) a 3-month program is held for foreign monks and nuns to come and practice Ganhwaseon, a type of Zen Buddhism. Travelers and other foreigners are also welcome to participate in shortened versions of the program, which are typically one week in length. During meditation/program periods, public visits are limited. The temple’s yearly schedule is divided into three sections with the last section providing various events and programs including weekend events and workshops. The temple also offers temple stay and other programs run in both Korean and English.

Gyeongsanggamnyeong Park (경상감영공원)
Daegu 99, Gyeongsanggamyeong-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu Located in central Daegu, Gyeongsanggamyeong Park was built during the 34th year of King Seonjo of the Joseon Dynasty (1601) and was the original location of Gyeongsanggamyeong (1910), the office of the Gyeongsangbuk-do governor. In 1965 the provincial office was moved to another location and the park opened its doors to the public under the name of Central Park. The park was renamed again in 1997 and has been known as Gyeongsanggamyeong Park ever since. Many cultural and historical heritages are located in the park including the Seonhwa-dang building where the governor worked (Daegu Tangible Cultural Property No.1); the Jungcheong-gak building that was one of the governor’s residences (Daegu Tangible Cultural Property No.2); and Seonjeong-bi gravestone where governor’s achievements are engraved. Seonhwa-dang building in particular has historical significance since it is one of the few remaining government buildings. The park is well loved by citizens for its green forest, beautiful flowers, well-developed grass plaza, scenic fountain area, and its comfortable walking paths.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum (경상북도수목원)

The arboretum exhibits local plants from Ulleungdo, an island off Korea’s eastern coast that is home to a special ecosystem that includes rare trees and wildflowers. The arboretum has total of 24 gardens, including the Alpine Botanical Garden, Ulleungdo Native Plant Garden and Needle-leaf Tree Garden.

Gyeongsan Seonbonsa Temple (선본사(경산))
Gyeongsangbukdo 699, Gatbawi-ro, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Seonbonsa Temple is a centrally administered temple of the Jogye Order. It was originally built in 491 by Geukdal, and later repaired in 1641. The temple is home to many important cultural treasures, including the Stone Seated Buddha at Gwanbong Peak (Treasure), Three-story Stone Pagoda (Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Heritage), and stone lanterns.

Gyeongpo Provincial Park (경포도립공원)
Gangwondo San 284-1, Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do Gyeongpo Provincial Park was officially opened on June 26, 1982. It houses many cultural assets and memorial sites centered around Gyeongpodae Pavilion, Gyeongpoho Lake, and Gyeongpo Beach. One of the eight scenic spots in Gwandong (old name of Gangwon-do), Gyeongpodae is famous for viewing the moon, as well as fishing at Gyeongpoho Lake. However, fishing is now prohibited due to the lake being designated as a natural protection area. Gyeongpo Beach is thought to be the best beach on the East Coast. The crystal waters of Gyeongpo Beach, elegant Gyeongpoho Lake, Gyeongpodae Pavilion, Banghae Pavilion, Hohae Pavilion, Gyeongho Pavilion, and Gyeongyangsa Temple make Gyeongpo Provincial Park a great vacation attraction year round. Known as one of the most scenic locations in Gangwon-do, visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring, swimming in the summer, and deep-sea fishing and walking on the beach in the winter.

Gyeongju-si Special Tourist Zone (경주시 관광특구)
Gyeongsangbukdo 614 Gyeonggam-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Gyeongju was the capital city of the ancient kingdom of Silla. The city is often referred to as a “museum without walls” because of the many cultural relics scattered throughout the city. Almost everything in this city, from the streets to the mountains, is rich in history. Gyeongju has roughly 300 sites that have been designated as a cultural heritage, with some of them being UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Sites. The Gyeongju Special Tourist Zone includes the districts of Namsan, Wolseong, Daereungwon, Hwangryongsa, and Sanseong. This area has a total of 52 cultural assets registered on the World Heritage list. Many of the hills are actually royal tombs and fields of grass used to be sites of ancient temples. The entire Namsan Mountain can almost be considered a cultural asset because of the many stone pagodas and Buddha statues that can be found here. The Bulguk district is home to many of Gyeongju’s most well-known attractions such as Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Gyeongju Folk Village, Silla Arts and Science Museum, and Goereung. In the Bomun district, there are plenty of recreation facilities surrounding Bomunho Lake. Other attractions in the area include Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park, Gyeongju World, and Silla Millennium Park. Gyeongsangbukdo 134 Yangdongmaeul-gil, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Gyeongju Yangdong Village is Korea’s largest traditional village, showcasing the traditional culture of the Joseon dynasty and the beautiful natural surroundings. Thanks to its many cultural heritages, including treasures, national treasures, and folklore materials, the entire village has been designated as a cultural heritage site. Many people have visited this village to see its wealth of cultural heritages and scenic surroundings, including King Charles III, who visited this village in 1993. Seolchangsan Mountain and its four spines of mountains can be seen beyond the village. Approximately 160 old houses and 500-year-old thatched-roof cottages are nestled within the valley. Fifty-four of these homes are over 200 years old and have been excellently preserved in their original state, offering the opportunity to view a variety of unique traditional Korean houses in person.
