Chungcheongbukdo Cheondong 2-gil, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Situated on the outskirts of a mountain behind Cheondong-ri in Danyang, Cheondongdonggul Cave is a limestone cave of 470 meters in length. Created 450 million years ago, the cave is known to have beautiful limestone rocks often called “flower trays.” The cave is decorated with a breathtaking array of stalactites, stalagmites, columns and soda straws as if they were part of a lush forest. Abundant animal deposits render the cave a huge specimen gallery. Although it is a relatively small, separate cave, Cheondongdonggul boasts plethora of splendid natural features. Along with Gosu Cave (designated as Natural Monument No. 256) in Gosu-ri, Danyang, Cheondongdonggul Cave is considered one of the most beautiful limestone caves in Korea.

Cheonbuldong Valley (천불동계곡)

Gangwondo 1091, Seoraksan-ro, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do As one of the Ten Sights of Seoraksan Mountain, the Cheonbuldong Valley is also called Seorakgol Valley, being a representative valley of the mountain. Along the valley covering about 7 km from Biseondae Rock to Daecheongbong Peak, visitors can enjoy the splendid scenery of various attractions including Waseondae Rock, Munjudam Pool, Ihodam Pool, Gwimyeonam Rock, Oryeon Falls, and Cheondang Falls. It has all magnificent views of Seoraksan Mountain. The Cheonbuldong Valley is also regarded as one of Korea’s top 3 valleys along with Chilseon Valley of Jirisan Mountain and Tamna Valley of Hallasan Mountain. It offers beautiful seasonal views every year, and among them, the autumnal foliage is considered the best scenery of the valley. Its colorfully-tinged autumnal leaves are in harmony with rocks in fantastic shapes, attracting many hikers in autumn.

Cheonbuk Oyster Complex in Boryeong (보령 천북굴단지)

Chungcheongnamdo Cheonbuk-myeon, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do Cheonbuk Oyster Complex in Boryeong is a place near the Hongseong Embankment where various restaurants specializing in oysters are clustered. Boryeong is known for its abundant oyster production, with those caught between November and February considered the finest. In December, the Cheonbuk Oyster Festival is held, featuring events for tourists. Here, visitors can taste a variety of dishes made with oysters, including grilled oysters, raw oysters, and oyster rice.

Cheonan Three-way Intersection Park (천안삼거리공원)

Chungcheongnamdo 410, Chungjeol-ro, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do The Cheonan Three-way Intersection Park (Cheonan Samgeori Park) used to be a three-way junction that divides into the road to Seoul in the north; Daegu, Gyeongju, and Dongnae in the southeast; and Jeonju, Gwangju, and Mokpo in the southwest. In the Joseon dynasty, the intersection served as a major division point, with travelers of different classes, from wealthy officials to humble scholars, stopping by to take a break on their way. Many legends and enjoyable folk songs, known as heungtaryeong, originated from this area. This significant junction was developed into a park by planting trees, rearranging facilities, and holding cultural events to honor the site's history and attract visitors.

Cheonan Gwangdeoksa Temple (광덕사(천안))

Chungcheongnamdo 30, Gwangdeoksa-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do Gwangdeoksa Temple is said to be established in 637 by Monk Jajang Yulsa during the Silla Kingdom and was refurbished during the reign of King Heungdeok (832). The temple sits in the southeast of Gwangdeoksan Mountain, which borders Asan-si and Cheonan-si, and the southwest of Taehwasan Mountain. It was the biggest temple within Chungcheong and Gyeonggi regions before the Japanese invasion. However, it was burnt down during the Japanese invasion and the main buildings such as Daeungjeon, Myeongbujeon and Cheonbuljeon Halls are relatively new compared to the other original facilities.

Cheomseongdae Observatory (경주 첨성대)

Gyeongsangbukdo 140-25 Cheomseong-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Cheomseongdae Observatory, constructed during the reign of Queen Seondeok (r. 632-647), is one of the landmarks of Gyeongju. The observatory was built in a cylinder shape at approximately 9 meters in x_height. The observatory consists of 365 stones, symbolizing the number of days in a year. Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천)

Seoul Changsin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul Cheonggye Plaza was built on Sejong-ro Street, where Cheonggyecheon Stream begins. It was built between Dong-A Ilbo, the starting point of the Cheonggyecheon Stream restoration, and Sindap Railroad Bridge, with a length of 160 meters, a x_width of 50 meters, and a total area of 6,962 meters squared. The plaza is decorated with fountains, waterfalls, and walking paths. It was created as a place for meetings, harmony, peace, and unification, to celebrate the significance of the restoration of Cheonggyecheon Stream. A miniaturized version of Cheonggyecheon Stream is displayed here, providing an overview of the restored stream. There are also interpretive panels about the 22 bridges that cross Cheonggyecheon stream. Fountains of various shapes create beautiful scenery. Cheonggyecheon Stream is accessible from the square through stairs on the left and Cheonggye Trail on the right. There is also an 18-meter tunnel on the Cheonggye Trail, providing a unique experience for citizens entering Cheonggyecheon Stream from the plaza. After constructing Cheonggyecheon Plaza, the Seoul Metropolitan Government made it a car-free street on public holidays so that the plaza, waterside area, and streets could be used as cultural spaces for citizens to relax. A spectacular sight is created by three-color lights illuminating the fountains and a two-tiered waterfall coming down from a x_height of four meters. Palseokdam, made of eight stones from eight provinces in Korea, was laid along the waterfall's sides.

Cheonggyecheon Old Books Street (청계천헌책방거리)

Cheollipo Beach (천리포해수욕장)

It is located 2 kilometers north of Mallipo Beach, a well-known beach in Taean. Another 2 kilometers north is Baengnipo Beach. The beaches in the park are characterized by shallow waters that are 1~2 meters deep with a 1-kilometer beach shore. In particular, Cheollipo Beach is noted as an amazing sunset spot, making it a popular attraction regardless of swimming season.

Cheonggye Farm (청계목장)

Gyeonggido 20 Cheonggye-ro 104beon-gil, Baegam-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do Cheonggye Farm is a petting farm, offering a hands-on dairy farming experience by reservation. It features a Milk School (education center), an outdoor experience center, a farm, an animal farm, and horseback riding stables. There are two types of experience programs available: Course A and Course B. Course A includes activities such as ice cream making, milking mother cows, bottle-feeding calves, and feeding cows. Course B focuses on making ice cream and bottle-feeding calves.

Cheollipo Arboretum (천리포수목원)

Chungcheongnamdo 187, Cheollipo 1-gil, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do Cheollipo Arboretum is located on the tip of the Taean peninsula, and was founded by Min Byung-gal (Carl Ferris Miller), the "blue-eyed Korean." Min purchased the land in 1962 and starting in 1970, many trees were planted in earnest. At that time, the park was only open to experts in related fields and members who helped fund the arboretum. In 2009, select sections of the arboretum were finally opened to the general public. The arboretum features more than 16,830 kinds of plants (as of October 2022), including holly, magnolia, camelia, and maple trees, as well as five varieties of Rose of Sharon, the national flower.

Cheongganjeong Pavilion (청간정)

Gangwondo 5110 Donghae-daero, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do Cheongganjeong Pavilion, located atop a cliff, was built during the mid-Joseon period. It is situated at the point where Cheonggancheon Stream, originating from Seoraksan and Cheonhusan Mountains, flows into the East Sea. The view of the pine forest and the East Sea draws many visitors. Nearby attractions include Cheongganhaebyeon Beach, Cheonjinhaebyeon Beach, Ayajinhaebyeon Beach, as well as Bongpo Port and Ayajin Port.
